Holistic Therapies

Holistic’ comes from the Greek word holos, meaning ‘whole’. Rather than just adressing an immediate symptom, a holistic therapist will look for the underlying cause by considering current physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual states of health and wellbeing. They will then work to restore the body’s natural balance, leading to a more sustained and rewarding quality of life.

Our offerings

Shiatsu means “finger pressure” in Japanese. For shiatsu massage, the therapist uses varied, rhythmic pressure on certain precise points of the body. These points are called acupressure points, and they are believed to be important for the flow of the body’s vital energy, called chi. Proponents say shiatsu massage can help relieve blockages at these acupressure points.

Hot Stone Massage begins with placing warm, oiled stones on multiple acupressure points around your body, perhaps even tiny ones between your toes. You may drift off into a dreamy state and lose track of where the hot stones are arranged.

Reflexology is a blissfully relaxing therapy that treats the feet and hands in order to balance the whole body. This treatment works on the principle that each of our body systems is mapped out on to our feet
